Installation Note 53228: Validation of middle tier fails if a non-default port is used

DetailsAboutRate It

When installing SAS® OpRisk VaR, the validation of the middle tier fails if a non-default port is used. If the middle tier installation completes cleanly, the resulting Instructions.html has a validation step of:

http:// ... /SASOpRiskVaR/services/var.wsdl. If a WSDL XML document is displayed, the OpRisk VaR MidTier is operational. If the document is not displayed, then you can check the port number of the web server configuration based on ...sas/Lev1/Web/WebServer/conf/httpd.conf
In this example the web server port number is 17980.
# Listen: Allows you to bind Apache to specific IP addresses and/or # ports, instead of the default. See also the <VirtualHost> directive. # # Change this to Listen on specific IP addresses as shown below to # prevent Apache from glomming onto all bound IP addresses. To bind # all IPv4-only use 0.0.0.0:17980, to bind all IPv6-only use [::]:17980 # #Listen 12.34.56.78:80 Listen 17980
The WSDL works correctly when using this port:
http:// ... :17980/SASOpRiskVaR/services/var.wsdl
